Speers Point

May 20th, 2007 · No Comments · Lake Macquarie, Landscape, Life, Newcastle, Photos, Sunsets

Called in at [tag]Speers Point[/tag] on my way home today to see what the sunset would do. It started to build with some nice reds against a cold grey cloud formation but then really fizzled out. Heres one of the shots.

Speers Point

Note to self: At start of all photoshoots check the ISO!!!! Unfortunately I still had it bumped all the way up to 1600. All things considered the [tag]noise[/tag] isnt that bad but could be better. The trusty old [tag]Nikon D70s[/tag] still pulls a good photo at 1600 ISO as long as you nail the exposure. I have found that if the camera has to try and compensate anything the noise in shadows just becomes unbearable.

You live and learn.
