Went on a day trip photo mission to Somersby Falls on theCentral Coast last weekend with Matt Packer. It is a very picturesque location with so many photo opportunities. The angles are limitless and if you are a little bit adventurous with you equipment can get some really great photos.
Overall the photos didnt quite come up how I had envisioned them to be so I have been playing all week to try and make them ‘pop’. Its not that they were bad photos at all, just not up to my personal high standards. I kept on adjusting levels and curves and tweaking colour but overall still ended up with a rather lifeless image. Nothing that does the Falls any justice. Finally last night I achieved what I wanted.
A little bit of desaturation and voila. Very happy with the result.
