I completely agree with what you’ve said here Tim, for the largest city outside of a state capital there’ always a lot of little disappointments that come out of most council meetings.. Newcastle is so far away from being considered a ‘progressive city’ that it’s quite embarrassing.. In the last few years there has been a bit of a rebuilding of the council but it’s far from adequate considering theses people are trying to lead us and our city into the future..

I wonder if Speers Point put on a better show? Wouldn’t suprise me..haha

The Sydney fireworks were awesome however, definitely a big way to end the year….though the music of choice was sometimes a little strange.. “I’m every woman” wtf ?

Anyway, Cath’s christened this year Two Thousand and Great! So let’s both do our best to make it GREAT!!

PS. Newcastle also needs to ditch the ‘Our Town’ mentality as well…
