I do the same thing! I have so many blogs on my RSS feeds (related to photography) that I spend a little bit a day reading what’s new on their sites and trying to leave a comment where I feel it’s relevant.

Over on my blog I have 2 ways of sharing ‘the love’

1. I’ve got a Wordpress Plugin called Comment Luv enabled so that anyone who comments on my articles actually gets the opportunity to get a link back to their latest post.

2. Each week, usually on Wednesday, I post a ‘The Best of The Week’ article with excerpts and links from the best articles I read each week via my feed reader.

I’m kinda getting over the EntreCard thing, I’ve seen it to be a fairly false economy where people are just gaming the system with really crummy sites, and with the ‘multi-drop’ sites out there now it’s really quite easy to drop 300 cards a day and have those reciprocated..

That’s just my experience with it however..

I do the same thing. I use entrecard to find new sites. I’m always looking for something new. And I know there’s a whole world out there I don’t know about.

I love to hear comments from people, and I try to comment on as many sites as I can to let them know that someone was there and read their site.

I’d love it if everyone did this, but there are so many lurkers out there, what can you do.

I’m in agreement with you on this one, I do all the same things, at least I try to do it most of the time. Great post, I believe that everyone should do those type of things, they will get much more out of their site, and their time online, then just simply blogging for themselves.

Just like you, I always check out the websites of those who leave comments and then comment on one or two of their articles as well.

Another thing I do is, every once in a while, I go through all my comments and compile a list of the websites of everyone who has left a comment then I publish that list as a special “Thanks!” to my readers.
